About TruckWreckNews

TruckWreckNews is a national wire of 18-wheeler and commercial-truck crash news, paired with federal fatal-crash statistics for every U.S. state. We track truck wrecks across the country and make the underlying government data easy to explore.

How the wire works

Our newsfeed is aggregated continuously from public news sources. Every headline is link-only — we link to the original publisher and never republish their full articles. An automated relevance filter selects large-truck crash stories from the broader news stream, and the wire updates around the clock.

Editorial standards

We aggregate and link; we do not conduct original reporting, and a link is not an endorsement of the source. Stories are selected by relevance to commercial-truck crashes, newest first. If you believe a linked item is inaccurate or should be removed, contact us through the firm below and we will review it.

Data methodology

Our crash statistics come from the U.S. NHTSA FARS census — the federal record of fatal motor-vehicle crashes — filtered to crashes involving large trucks. FARS is a census of fatal crashes only and does not include non-fatal wrecks. The statistics on this site reflect FARS data through 2024.
